Pinehurst Information

Pinehurst village is located in Moore County, North Carolina and has a population of about 12,000 people. It has a total area of about 15 square miles.

Often times referred to as the "Cradle of American Golf," Pinehurst boasts world-renowned golf facilities and a Village Center full of New England charm. It was is the host city of the 1999, 2005, and 2014 U.S. Open Golf Championships. It is also the host city for the 2008 U.S. Amateur, and the 2007 women’s U.S. Open Golf Tournament. The village of Pinehurst is also the former home of the World Golf Hall of Fame and the Tour Championship in 1991 and 1992.

Pinehurst is quiet and tranquil with a desirable climate making it an excellent vacation destination as well as a great place to live. It is a beautiful progressive area.

The median income for a family in the village is approximately $70,000, and the median income for a household is about $60.000. Only about 2.8% of the population are below the poverty line, including 2.8% of those under age 18 and 3.7% of those age 65 or over.
